Shark breaching is one of the techniques great whites use to surprise and kill their prey – in this case an unsuspecting cape fur seal.

Irish wildlife photographer David Jenkins, 46 has travelled the world to capture the awesome power of the creatures.

He said: ‘A flying great white shark is really one of the most incredible sights to behold, an amazing show of power, speed and agility. When I first saw a shark breach I was hooked and knew I had to try and see this for myself.’
