Murder suspect Dakota L. King, 19, of Bloomington, Indiana told police he became furious with the infant after it spat milk on his clothes earlier the same day, authorities said

An Indiana man has been arrested for allegedly suffocating his girlfriend’s two-month old baby boy in a bassinet, telling police he became furious with the infant after it spat milk on his clothes earlier the same day.

Dakota L. King, 19, has been charged with murder, neglect, and battery in the death of the baby identified on social media as Braylon Elijah Lee Mosher.

Braylon’s mother was identified on Facebook as Ana Rose.

She and Braylon’s grandmother told investigators that King has an ‘extreme temper problem’ and often became angry when the child cried.

Family members and police said King yelled at Braylon and squeezed the baby to get him to stop crying on July 30 before laying the child in his bassinet face down and using a hand to smother the baby’s face in the bedding, the New York Post reported.

The 19-year-old suspect waited for the child’s mother to return home and she discovered her baby wasn’t breathing, police said.

‘King was interviewed and admitted to investigators that he had gotten angry earlier in the day when the child spit up milk on his clothing,’ Bloomington Police said in an emailed statement sent to the New York Daily News.

Reddish-brown stains believed to be blood that were found in the bassinet matched up with the injuries found on the baby’s face at the hospital, police said.

A now-closed GoFundMe page to pay for baby Braylon’s funeral expenses only raised $325.

Prosecutors have said they will seek life without parole for King if he’s found guilty.

His trial date has been set for January 13, court records show.
