A mother in Indiana has been arrested after she filmed herself slapping her baby so hard he slammed to the ground during a video call with the infant’s father.
A woman believed to be Hannah Winch, 21, is seen in a clip hitting the 10-month-old boy who is later seen sprawled face down on the floor of a home in the Peru area.
A man believed to be his father watches on helplessly.
Police said they had information about a video showing an adult female carrying out the battery.

Authorities conducted a welfare check on Friday around 8.15pm with the Indiana Department of Child Services and found that the child wasn’t injured.
It’s unclear who requested cops visit the property.
But police said a video surfaced on social media while they responded to the home and numerous viewers reported the battery.
A clip posted by Joel Urbin shows what appears to be the incident.
Urbin – who identified himself as the child’s grandfather – blasted Child Protective Services (CPS) in the caption.
‘This is cps at its best this 10 month old my grandson gets to stay with this piece of work,’ he wrote alongside the shocking video.
It was posted after other clips were removed from online.

A woman claimed she is the child’s great aunt wrote: ‘She shoved him so hard he face planted on the carpet when he was already crying! Why? Because she was mad.’
Hannah R. Winch was arrested on domestic battery and intimidation charges – both level 6 felonies -and was transported to Miami County Jail.
Social media users commented and shared messages that they were appalled Winch has since been released from jail. But police have said the investigation is ongoing.
Police said the baby went into the custody of the child’s mother initially but was with the child’s father Saturday.
