Ink enthusiast, 32, covers 90 per cent of body in tattoos

A man has covered 90 per cent of his body with black tattoos – including his eyeballs – but insists there is still more to do.

Adam Curlykale, 32, got his first tattoo done 12 years ago and it consisted of a small message on his arm that read: ‘I am.’

Now, aged, 32, Mr Curlykale has covered 90 per cent of his body in black tattoos but says he will complete the remaining 10 per cent.

The only patches of Mr Curlykale that remain untouched are his armpits, the palms of his hands, the soles of his feet and his bottom.

Mr Curlykale before his quest to cover himself completely with tattoos

Adam Curlykale, 32, got his first tattoo done 12 years ago and it consisted of a small message on his arm that read: ‘I am’

‘I always knew that I was different from the rest of society,’ said Mr Curlykale.

‘My favouite colour has always been grey – in different tones – and that’s why my current skin colour is graphite.

‘I design my tattoos because it’s my body. I have a specific vision for myself and I do it step by step. Life is so short that I stopped wondering what will happen tomorrow.

‘Life is here in now.’

But Mr Curlykale’s quest for complete coverage has not been a cheap one and he has racked up the equivalent of ‘a nice flat’.

He began with a small tattoo on his arm that simply read 'I am' when he was 20-years-old before committing himself to additional body art

He was just 22 when he was diagnosed with cancer of the large intestine.

After months of radiotherapy, chemotherapy, molecular therapy and stem cell therapy he was left with a very weak immune system.

Although he recovered, his weakened body left him with several skin conditions and partial albinism.

He fell into a deep depression, suffered from eating disorders and even attempted suicide.
