Insane Christmas nails take over social media

Forget trees, nail artists are actually hanging Christmas ornaments from their festive nails and are even transforming their talons into mini snow globes.

Social media has been taken over by insane Christmas nails and some of the creations are seriously outrageous and intricate. Between ‘hand trees’ and plastic snow globes, these beauty gurus spared no expense.

Some users such as Seoul-based nail artist Park Eunkyung, who works at the nail salon Unistella, made full-blown Christmas ornament nails; using her hand as the ‘hand-tree’ she wrapped each finger with silver tinsel and then dangled actual mini ornaments from each nail.

She even took it a step further when she wrapped string lights around the ‘tree’ and the fingers lit up like a real Christmas tree.

That’s not the only nail design Park created either, as she also posted a Rudolph inspired mani.

The reindeer manicure featured actual brown rhinestones made into antlers with a red ruby in the center as the nose.

Meanwhile Canadian beauty guru Cristine Rotenberg, who is known online as Simply Nailogical, posted a video to her YouTube, DIY Snowglobe Nails (I built a snowman on my nail), and it is absolutely amazing.

The snow globe nails are not your average manicure, it is so intricate, and she actually makes a see-through plastic globe with liquid and glitter inside that moves when she shakes her fingers.

First she made a hollow ball to be the globe, out of clear building gel. She took the circular eye-dropper top of a nail polish and covered it in saran wrap. Then she painted over that to make a little ball.

After making the globe, it was time to build a snowman. She built the little snowman by pouring clear nail polish out into a small pile and letting it dry.

Snowman: The Canadian made a DIY nail tutorial on her YouTube showing how she created a snowman and globe out of clear top coat and infused baby oil as the liquid

Once the base of the snowman was dry and hard, she painting it white and then added a coat of glitter polish on top, curing it for one minute.

After that, she added the features to the snowman’s face and then painted her nails a sparkly blue shade.

After waiting one minute for her nails to dry, she painted a few coats of glossy gel top coat on top and placed the snowman down.

Painting a few more top coats around the base of the snowman, she made sure that he stuck to the nail and stayed in place.

Then, she takes the globe, cuts a little opening on the side of it to inject the liquid, paints the bottom rim of it with gel top coat, and places it on top of the snowman.

Finishing her masterpiece, she injected the globe with an eye-dropper, using baby oil as the liquid and little sparkles for an added touch.

The Christmas nails and manicures taking over social media are so creative and impressive, it is such a fun way to get into the holiday spirit.
