Inside Beatrice’s holiday in Jordan! Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi shares snaps from Petra

Princess Beatrice’s husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi has shared an inside glimpse into the couple’s holiday in Jordan.

The Duke of York’s daughter, 34, and her husband were surprise guests at Crown Prince Hussein’s lavish wedding to Rajwa Al-Saif in Jordan yesterday.

The couple were in high spirits as they attended both the wedding ceremony at Zahran Palace before the black tie reception last night.

And Edoardo also offered a rare sneak peek into the couple’s trip on his Instagram yesterday, posting a number of snaps from their visit.

The father-of-two shared photographs from an excursion to Petra, a famous archaeological site in Jordan’s southwestern desert.

The couple seem to have enjoyed some sight-seeing on their trip to Jordan ahead of Crown Prince Hussein’s nuptials.

While Beatrice does not have a public social media account, Edo shared a series of snaps on his Instagram story.

The property developer stayed on brand and mainly kept his snaps focused on the beautiful architecture he had come across on the trip to the archaeological site.

He shared snaps of beautiful buildings and panoramic views of the archaeological site.

It’s not known how long the couple will spend in Jordan, but it’s believed Princess Beatrice’s sister Eugenie is due to give birth in the coming days.

Beatrice was effortlessly glamorous in two shimmery looks for her friend’s wedding yesterday.

She first donned a sequin floral lace £675 dress, in dusky blue, from Needle & Thread.

She opted for a more cinched silhouette with a black belt, which matched an ornate ribbon styled in her hair.

Elsewhere her husband put on a dapper display in a navy single-breasted suit, adorned with a cornflower blue tie.

The happy couple appeared in high spirits as they chatted while walking to the ceremony.

Later, Beatrice switched up her look for an evening reception hosted by the Jordanian royal family, and opted for a pale pink embellished satin piqué gown with ruffled sleeves from designer Reem Acra, which she wore with the York tiara.

The choice of tiara was particularly significant, as it was gifted to her mother Sarah Ferguson for her wedding day to Prince Andrew on 23 July 1986, and has not been worn in public for 20 years.

The accessory was made even more special by the fact that Princess Beatrice rarely wears tiaras, having only donned one before, for her wedding in July 2020.

In September, it was announced that Sandhurst graduate Hussein, 28, was set to wed Saudi Arabian-born architect Rajwa, also 28, after an engagement ceremony at the bride-to-be’s family home in Riyadh.

The wedding reception got underway last night, royals from around the world donned all their finery to attend the celebration, where the bride and groom cut their wedding cake, which was made up of seven tiers.

Earlier, guests watched the nuptials of Sandhurst graduate Hussein and Saudi Arabian-born architect Rajwa, also 28, in the garden of the Zahran Palace.

Rajwa dazzled in a white gown by Lebanese designer Elie Saab, which featured a lengthy train embroidered with flowers, and a sparkling diamond tiara.

King Abdullah II and Queen Rania of Jordan proudly watched as their son was wed during an Islamic ceremony known as a ‘katb ktab’ held in a gazebo and conducted by the Royal Hashemite Court Imam Dr Ahmed Al Khalaileh.
