Inside final stop on Harry and Meghan’s African holiday

Prince Harry and his girlfriend Meghan Markle ended their romantic three-week excursion in Africa at a £1,200-a-night resort on the banks of the Zambesi river in Zambia.

Harry, 32, and Suits actress Meghan, 26, spent the 20th anniversary of the death of Harry’s mother, Princess Diana, together at Tongabezi Lodge in Zambia before returning to the UK together last week.

The pair were photographed last month as they arrived at Maun airport in Botswana, smiling excitedly as they crossed the tarmac, Harry’s arm affectionately around his girlfriend’s shoulder as they started their African adventure together.

They spent time at the £650-a-night Meno a Kwena tented bush camp, where they celebrated Meghan’s 36th birthday and marked their first year together, before heading to Zambia to end the romantic trip at the Tongabezi Lodge, which is 12 miles from Victoria Falls.

The resort, which holds 26 guests at a time, features a romantic floating restaurant and has seen several exclusive guests over the year, including the Duke of Westminster.

While it is unknown which room the happy couple stayed in, the resort’s Honeymoon House features an outdoor bath and plunge pool with stunning views of the Zambesi.

Harry and Meghan are believed to have gone rafting down the river during their stay, and also took a helicopter over the falls and visited Livingstone Island.
