One of Moondance Villa’s most enticing plus-points is the location – it’s perched high up in the affluent suburb of Fresnaye, between Signal Hill and Sea Point.

Neighbours are said to include presidents and international celebrities.

Guests can admire the stunning views from a number of places – the outdoor pool, the Tuscan-style olive grove and an outdoor entertainment area that’s perfect for sunset drinks and alfresco dining.

The Atlantic Ocean vista can also be soaked up from the comfort of their beds, thanks to floor-to-ceiling windows.

Or from a private bedroom balcony. Every one of the four bedrooms – the Solar Suite, Lunar Suite, Eclipse Suite and Full Moon Suite – has one.

Actually, the 220-square-metre (2,370 square feet) decadent master bedroom – the Full Moon suite – has three, along with a kitchenette and an office.

All the bedrooms are en suite and are, according to the villa’s website, ‘elegantly designed and decorated’.

Think the plumpest of cushions, the comfiest of beds and the odd chandelier or two.

The four-level villa was designed by award-winning Cape Town-based architect Stefan Antoni.

According to a statement, ‘each living area creates a space that allows for comfortable living with unrestricted, uncluttered spaces that gracefully mimic the tranquillity of the surrounding landscape’.

There is an ‘exquisite’ contemporary art collection featuring artists from across Africa, a grand piano in one of the lounge areas and an atrium with an extensive indoor and outdoor koi pond water feature.

The features don’t end there, though.

The villa also has outdoor tanning decks, a steam room, a pizza oven, two garages with five external parking bays and an elevator that connects all the villa’s levels.

Plus four separate entertainment lounges with HD TV.

However, French Champagne and premium wines aren’t included.
