The modern home has three self-contained suites on top of six bedrooms.

The mansion is an entertainers’ delight with a selection of alfresco entertaining areas, formal and informal open plan indoor/outdoor space and a barbecue.

Other attractions include lift access, a spa and sauna and heated pool, complete with a water slide and overlooking stunning views of Sydney Harbour.

It’s also perfect for boating enthusiasts with a jetty, pontoon and permanent berthing pen for vessels up to 45 feet.

At least 50 potential buyers inspected the home in the past six months, according to LJ Hooker Avnu founding partner Michael Coombs.

‘We were very selective about who we showed through the property, and I noticed interest picked up on it in the last few weeks,’ Mr Coombs told the Mosman Daily.

‘It’s one of the best positions there – a directly north-facing waterfront with level lawn that goes right to the water’s edge.’

Mr Peterson bought the Shellbank Parade site in in 1998, and built the three-level home upon it two years later.
