Some users were unable to access the social media platform on Friday via the app.
On Downdetector.com, there were thousands of user-generated reports of an outage at 2:30pm (AEST)
Instagram went down on Friday with users worldwide complaining of issues
The popular social media app only went down a few weeks ago with as many as 100,000 users affected in the US, and 56,000 in the UK.
Instagram is one of the world’s most popular apps, with more than 2.35 billion monthly active users.
