An Instagram model and single mother has been refused bail as she fights charges over a string of robberies.

Monique Agostino, 23, represented herself at Downing Centre Local Court in Sydney on Tuesday. 

Agostino is alleged to have been involved in a number of robberies at several businesses and properties across the city’s affluent northern beaches on November 6, 2018, 9 News reported.

The 23-year-old was allegedly involved in a break in at the Pound of Pizza Restaurant in Tramore Place in Killarney Heights at 1.52am and stole a mobile phone.

Minutes later, it’s alleged the former Killarney Heights High School student broke into the nearby House of Fruit convenience store at 1.54am.

Agostino just two minutes later allegedly tried to break into Le Parisen Cafe.

Within an hour, she allegedly targeted Stanley St Cafe in St Ives, where police claimed she stole $300 cash and a Westpac credit card.

Officers alleged she later used the credit card to buy food worth $11.55 at McDonald’s Brookvale.

On November 24, police allege Agostino broke into Forestville Bakery and stole $1,000 in the presence of another person.

Her white Mitsubishi Lancer was later pulled over and police allegedly found a chisel and three mobile phones inside the vehicle.  

Agostino is charged with two counts of breaking and entering to steal property valued at less than $60,000.

She was also charged with breaking and entering with intent to steal, one count of aggravated breaking and entering in company to steal less than $60,000, and one count of dishonestly obtaining property by deception.

Agostino was refused bail until her next court appearance. 

She had pleaded not guilty to the charges brought against her.
