Inter and AC Milan ‘to hold talks with agent of Manchester United target Julian Alvarez’

Inter and AC Milan ‘to hold talks with agent of Manchester United target Julian Alvarez’ as he jets over from Argentina to secure next move for £17m River Plate star

  • Manchester United are ready to pay Julian Alvarez’s £17million release clause
  • But there are a number of other clubs interested in the River Plate attacker
  • Reports in Italy say his agent is meeting with both of the clubs in Milan

Manchester United target Julian Alvarez could disappoint them and secure a move to either Inter or AC Milan after his agent flew to Italy for talks.

The talented River Plate attacker has a £17million release clause, putting United and Europe’s other top clubs on alert.

Alvarez, 21, has been a sensation this season, notching 18 goals in 21 league matches for the famous Argentinian side.

Manchester United are reportedly willing to pay Julian Alvarez’s release clause of £17million

And according to La Gazzetta dello Sport his agent has landed in Italy to hold talks with Inter and AC Milan over a possible January switch.

Alvarez is expected to follow him in the coming days to meet United representatives in London and as well as speaking to Atletico Madrid in Spain.

With a relatively low release clause, the heavy-hitters are sniffing a bargain with Alvarez still young but thriving already.

His agent, Fernando Hidalgo, who used to represent Hernan Crespo, is already on familiar terms with Inter chief Dario Baccin, who personally scouted the forward last year on a trip to Argentina.

Even though Ralf Rangnick has a wealth of attacking options with Mason Greenwood, Marcus Rashford, Edinson Cavani and Cristiano Ronaldo all available to him, it is thought he wants reinforcements.

United have struggled for goals this term and would hope that Alvarez could help them unlock the door, if he opts to join the beleaguered Old Trafford club.
