Then, if construction is completed on time, the team will then move to the brand new 25,000-capacity Miami Freedom Park.

The Fort Lauderdale Stadium will then become a training and academy complex.

The mock-up plans and virtual videos of Miami Freedom Park show a modern arena with a total cost of £752m.

There will be a rooftop bar complete with palm trees, a 131-acre site, 750 hotel rooms and a public park within the sprawling complex.

Heading up Beckham’s franchise will be coach Diego Alonso who will be supported by Tony Pulis’s son Anthony.

Pulis, who began his coaching career at Orlando City B before joining Saint Louis as head coach in 2017, will be among the backroom team.

The former midfielder played for a number of English clubs including Portsmouth, Stoke and Plymouth before moving to the States in 2012.

Beckham was trying to hire Patrick Vieira and Carlo Ancelotti as head coaches but they turned him down.

In the end, he settled with Alonso who has won two CONCACAF Champions League titles with CF Pachuca and CF Monterrey.

How will Inter Miami shape up in the MLS?

Inter Miami already have a full squad – or roster – in place but they are yet to recruit a big-name star.

Most players are American while head coach Diego Alonso has spent his career in South and Central America, and previously managed CF Monterrey.

Hot prospect college player Robbie Robinson was one of the biggest scoops in the draft after he won the Hermann Trophy as the top college soccer player.

Rumours are still circulating about Inter Miami bringing in a global star, with Gareth Bale and James Rodriguez touted as big-name arrivals.

MLS sides are allowed three ‘designated players’ who lie outside of the salary cap, meaning teams can splash the cash to attract big names from around the world.

Matias Pellegrini has already filled one of those spots after the highly-rated 19-year-old from Argentina moved from Estudiantes for around £7m.
