It was released as Iran has vowed to take ‘severe revenge’ for the killing of Soleimani, who was widely seen as one of the most powerful men in the Middle East, ordered by the White House on Friday.
General Soleimani’s death has sparked calls across Iran for revenge against America for a killing that has drastically raised tensions across the region.
It comes as one of Iran’s vice presidents, Massoumeh Ebtekar, said Trump had made a ‘serious miscalculation’ and referred to a ‘wave of awakening’ across the Western world in the wake of Soleimani’s death, in an interview with CNN on Tuesday.
Ebtekar, the current Vice President of Iran for Women and Family Affairs, said that the outrage at his death was not just limited to Iran and claimed that many countries including across Europe and the US, understand the ‘terrible actions of the American government’.

She added that the killing of Soleimani has brought the Iranian nation together
Ebtekar said: ‘I’m sure that they regret what they’ve done because the response is not only limited to Iran. We see this wave of awakening in many countries in the world, in many European countries…
‘In the US, the people in the US, their reactions, I’ve been seeing some of this on the social networks, on Twitter.
‘This is an awakening. The people now understand very well what has happened and the terrible actions of the American government.’
She added that the killing of Soleimani has brought the Iranian nation together.
Ebtekar said that US President Donald Trump had made a ‘serious miscalculation’.
‘They made a serious mistake by assassinating, by taking this terrorist action, against Commander Soleimani, and I’m sure that they regret what they have done,’ she said.
Ebtekar’s comments come as more than 50 mourners were killed and more than 200 injured after a stampede broke out on the final day of Qassem Soleimani’s funeral in Iran today.
Iran’s farewell to the general descended into chaos after thousands of people thronged to his home town of Kerman, where he is being buried on the third day of his funeral.
With a sea of mourners clamouring to see Soleimani’s coffin, state media said the overcrowding had caused a stampede which left 56 people dead and 213 injured.

The head of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps foreign operations arm, Qassem Soleimani, was killed on Friday in a US strike on Baghdad international airport.
The head of the Quds Force was widely seen as one of the most powerful men in the region and the architect of Iran’s support for the Syrian army.
Tehran has reacted by vowing bloody revenge, as have the militias it controls in Iraq, while parliament in Baghdad has voted to request a full US troop withdrawal.
US President Donald Trump, who boasted in a tweet that Soleimani should have been killed earlier, in turn threatened Iran with more strikes and Iraq with sanctions if US forces were targeted or forced to leave.
