Married At First Sight bride Beth Kelly has let loose in a no-holds-barred interview.

The UK born opened up about the painful reality behind her doomed relationship with groom Teejay Halkias – and it’s safe to say she’s not holding back.

The 28-year-old operations manager from Brisbane told Daily Mail Australia that the cracks began showing well before he dramatically wrote ‘leave’ during a commitment ceremony last week, blindsiding her in the process.

‘Writing leave is a pretty bold statement,’ Beth said. ‘To me, that was it. I thought, ‘Why would I keep chasing someone who doesn’t want me?’ So I was like, at this point… may as well go. F**k it.’

In a fiery revelation, Beth admitted that her decision to participate in the show’s controversial couple swap challenge was heavily influenced by her knowledge that Teejay would likely say ‘yes’ to dating someone new.

‘He made it clear he didn’t want to be with me, so I knew he’d go. That played on my mind – I thought, ‘Well, if he’s going, then I’m going too,’ she said.

But Beth confessed the date left her feeling worse, not better.

‘I definitely wasn’t attracted to him – I can’t even remember his name. The whole time I was just thinking about Teejay,’ she admitted. ‘I played it off like I had a better time than I did, but I didn’t feel comfortable at all.’

Despite hoping the experience might prompt a shift in her husband’s feelings, Beth said she was disappointed when Teejay later revealed his date did ‘nothing’ for him emotionally.

‘That was sad,’ she said. ‘I didn’t expect him to have this huge revelation like, ‘Oh my god, I love Beth,’ but I hoped he’d at least realise we had something real.’

Beth also opened up about the warning signs she ignored.

‘Looking back, there were so many moments where I should have known he wasn’t into me – but I swept it under the rug. One day he’d seem cold and distant, then the next he’d say something nice and give me hope.’

When asked if she regrets giving him a chance, Beth paused.

‘It’s hard,’ she said. ‘I don’t like to give up on people. I meant what I said in my vows – when things get tough, I don’t walk away.

‘But if I had known he was going to write leave? Absolutely, I would’ve written leave too.’

Adding insult to injury, fans recently noticed a flirty spark between Teejay and his date Tara-Lee – and it didn’t go unnoticed by Beth.

‘Yeah… which is random,’ she said flatly.

‘But he did say she was his type, that he was attracted to her, and they had great banter – so there’s not much else I can say.’

Making things worse, Beth revealed Teejay has since followed Tara on Instagram and liked several of her photos – despite privately criticising Beth for going on her own date.

‘He had a go at me behind closed doors. He said I was going to look stupid, and it made me really upset. I felt like such a bad person,’ she recalled.

‘And then I found out he had a great time, followed her, liked her pictures… It’s hypocritical. Make me feel bad, but then go and do that? It just makes no sense.’

Heading into the final dinner party, Beth said the pair were done – despite arriving together.

‘Yeah, we walked in together,’ she confirmed. ‘I actually wish I walked in alone now – it would’ve made a statement. But I did it to make him feel comfortable.’

‘I said to him, ‘We started this together, let’s end it together.’ But I was hurt, I was rejected – I didn’t want to go through final vows. I didn’t want to write more vows for someone who didn’t want me.’

‘I walked away with some amazing friendships,’ she said. ‘I’m so grateful for that.’

And while many viewers assumed other couples were on shakier ground, Beth never thought her marriage would unravel so soon.

‘I remember saying to Teejay, ‘Can you believe we’re in this position?’ We got along so well at the start – better than most.’

Married At First Sight continues Tuesday at 7.30pm on Channel Nine and 9Now.
