‘I never liked her’: Ines Basic reveals the REAL reason behind her falling out with ‘nasty’ Martha Kalifatidis… and claims that their friendship was fake and ‘made for TV’ by MAFS producers
Former Married At First Sight star Ines Basic slammed co-star Martha Kalifatidis for being ‘inconsistent’ and ‘nasty’, and labelled their friendship ‘fake’.
The Bosnian-born beauty, 29, took to Instagram on Saturday to answer a fan question: ‘Why aren’t you friends with Martha? What happened between [you]?’
She responded with a video saying: ‘I’m going to be so honest here and say that the day I met her [Martha], I didn’t like her. I just found her to be very put-on, a bit false.’

‘However, there was a show to be made, production wanted Jess [Jessika Power], Martha and I to be friends, so it was like a fake friendship made for TV by production.’
‘It worked out for the story line they had planned, it was edited greatly to make us look like the three b****y girls.’
Ines explained that after filming, she became good friends with Martha as they found comfort with each other because of the backlash they received from MAFS.

She continued: ‘Then I started noticing really large inconsistencies, and me personally when I’ve been asked to comment on certain people in the public eye I always refuse to comment.’
Implying that Martha’s loose lips in the media were behind their falling out, Ines said: ‘I don’t like nasty behaviour and that’s something I’ve noticed with her, which is really unfortunate.’
Ines went on to say that she let her friendship with Martha go, but was disappointed to see things end over something so ‘petty’.
Ines also said: ‘Production wanted Jess, Martha and I to be friends, so it was like a fake friendship made for TV by production’
This comes after Martha recently told Mamamia that said she doesn’t speak to fellow ‘villains’ Jessika and Ines.
She admitted: ‘I don’t keep tabs on them [because] they’re not of interest to me.’
Martha said: ‘I’m still the one in my humble little relationship that isn’t putting on a big wedding, [and] I’m not having a baby with a contestant from last year’s Love Island.’
‘I’m just chilling, just doing my thing, staying in my lane,’ she added.
