It’s official! Boris Johnson declares his relationship with Carrie Symonds to include her marine conservation job on a list of ministers’ interests

Boris Johnson has officially declared his relationship with Carrie Symonds.

The Prime Minister included his girlfriend’s job at a marine conservation group on a list of ministers’ interests.

Miss Symonds, 31, who lives in Downing Street with Mr Johnson, 55, is a senior adviser at Oceana, a US-based environmental campaign group.

Mr Johnson is patron of The Iris Project and Classics For All, which both encourage the teaching of Latin and Greek in state schools

On his declaration, the Prime Minister also included a list of honorary roles with charities and other organisations.

He is also president of the Anglo-Turkish Society and an honorary member of the Hillingdon Golf Club in his Uxbridge and South Ruislip constituency.

Other Cabinet ministers to declare their interests included Education Secretary Gavin Williamson, whose wife is a teaching assistant, and Home Secretary Priti Patel, whose brother-in-law is a police officer in London.
