‘It’s the crickets’: Love Island’s Whitney savages red-faced Mitch as his awkward comedy roast fails to get a laugh –  with fans branding it ‘cringe-worthy’

Love Island viewers were left cringing by Mitch’s painfully awkward comedy roast during the villa’s talent show on Monday.

The gas engineer, 26, attempted to impress with his one liners only for them to be met by an excruciating silence.

Mitch took aim at his fellow singletons in the set telling Molly: ‘You are so mature you are a 40 year old in a 20 year old’s body’.

Followed by knee-slapper: ‘You make Zach’s  hair look grey’. 

While the wannabe comedian failed to get a laugh Whitney’s savage quip left viewers at home in hysterics.
