Ivana Smit may have been dead before fall in Kuala Lumpur

Ivana Smit, 18, died on December 7 when she plunged to her death in Kuala Lumpur

Chilling new details have emerged in the death of a Dutch teen model, who was found naked after plunging 14 floors to her death following a ‘drug-fueled swingers party’ in an American couple’s apartment in Malaysia.

Ivana Smit, 18, was building a successful career as a model in Kuala Lumpur when she plunged to her death on December 7, in what local cops called a drug and booze-fueled accident.

Now British private investigator Mark Williams-Thomas, best known for exposing BBC presenter Jimmy Savile as a pedophile, says his findings indicate the death should be treated as a homicide.

Meanwhile, Dutch pathologist Frank van de Goot, who carried out the second postmortem on Ivana, says the lack of blood at the scene of the fall suggests the young model was dead before she fell.

Ivan also had bruises to her upper arms not caused by the fall, suggested a struggle took place, van de Goot told the Dutch newspaper Telegraaf.

Whispers of a cover up by the local authorities are bringing international pressure to bear on the local authorities.

Williams-Thomas, in a tweet last week, claimed he had ‘direct evidence of organised police protection rackets & organised crime syndicates operating’ in relation to the case, promising ‘much more on this to come’.

With new photo evidence from the night in question emerging in recent days, Ivana’s final hours are coming into focus.

At 5.22am on December 7, cameras in a Kuala Lumpur club show American citizen Alexander Amado Johnson, 45, carrying Ivana in his arms through the lobby.

Johnson, who has ties to Georgia, is the founder of Everus World, a cryptocurrency company based in Kuala Lumpur.

At 7.30am, Ivana sent a friend a selfie of herself with Johnson’s wife, an Indonesian model named Luna believed to be in her 30s.

Police believe that around two hours later, at 10am, Ivana plunged from Johnson’s 20th-story balcony and landed on a six-story roof.

Her body, which was naked, was not found until around 3pm that day. Police have still not found Ivana’s shoes or her underwear.

She had alcohol and Ecstasy in her system at the time of death, an autopsy found.

Van de Goot’s second autopsy also found cocaine in Ivana’s system.

When Ivana’s father viewed her body in the morgue, he said she had ‘bruises’ on her neck which looked like finger marks. He fears foul play and does not believe that Ivana fell or committed suicide.

‘I saw bruises on her neck, like fingerprints — as if someone had grabbed her there,’ father Marcel Smit told Dutch newspaper Algemeen Dagblad.

When police said there were ‘no criminal elements’ to the death, Ivana’s grieving family hired the private investigator Williams-Thomas.

‘I have no doubt,’ Williams-Thomas told Belgium’s TV Limburg.

‘From the evidence that I have collected this week, and other information that we have through the forensics, we are in a position to say very clearly: If this was being dealt with in the UK, it would be treated as a homicide investigation.’

Ivana’s devastated father claims that police wanted to ‘close the case quickly’ and that neighbors heard ‘shouts and an argument’.

He said that he had been told the American couple are ‘swingers’ who would take young models back to their apartment for parties and sex games.

When questioned, the couple told the police that neither one of them knew what had happened.

Johnson said he was asleep between 10am and 3pm, and his wife reportedly claimed to have been taking their four-year-old daughter to school in the morning.

Ivana’s friends and family in Kuala Lumpur say Johnson and his wife were both taken into custody on drugs charges but they have not been charged over the teenager’s death.

The US Embassy in Kuala Lumpur told DailyMail.com in December that it was aware of the situation but was prohibited by privacy laws from confirming Johnson’s arrest.

‘We are aware of media reports of the detention of a U.S. citizen in Malaysia.

‘The Department of State takes its obligation to assist U.S. citizens abroad seriously. Due to privacy considerations, we have no further comment,’ an embassy spokesman said.

In a statement, Johnson’s company said: ‘Everus is aware of the ongoing investigations by the Malaysian authorities with regards to one of our employees.

‘The company will continue to monitor this matter carefully. Until the relevant authorities release official statements, we are unable to comment further. Thank you.’
