Trump visited the fortress of one of Hyderabad’s most famous Nizams, walking through the main entryway and stopping to talk to reporters before she continued on.

The senior White House adviser, who is also the president’s daughter, said she’s had ‘a fantastic two days’ in Hyderabad, where she represented the United States at the Global Entrepreneurship Summit this week.

‘It’s been such a pleasure,’ she said, standing alongside Indian ambassador to the U.S. Navtej Sarna and U.S. Ambassador to India Kenneth Juster. ‘The conference the summit was phenomenal.’

Trump will fly back to the U.S. commercially on Wednesday evening.

The conference ends at dinnertime Thursday, but the senior adviser could not stay that long, an official said. She had to return to the United States to help the administration tackle tax reform.

Senators will vote on a motion to take up the GOP-crafted tax overhaul bill later today. If the motion passes, they’ll vote on the legislation later this week.

House Republicans have already passed tax reform legislation that differs from the tax code rewrite that’s being debated in the Senate.

For a new tax policy to be enacted, House and Senate Republicans will have to hash out their disagreements in conference and repass the bill.

The Senate vote this week serves as a critical indicator of lawmakers’ ability to approve a tax reform bill this calendar year – President Trump’s self-imposed deadline.

President Trump has repeatedly promised Americans tax reform for Christmas.

Trump was on hand at the request of India’s prime minister, Narendra Modi, U.S. officials have said, to speak about women in the workplace, a policy area she has made her own as a senior adviser to her father in the White House.

It was a joint decision between the friendly countries to zero in on her advocacy, they stated.
