Ivanka Trump shares family photos from behind the scenes at the White House ahead of dad Donald’s inauguration

Ivanka Trump enjoyed a sentimental moment ahead of Donald Trump’s inauguration next week.

The first daughter, 43, shared a slew of behind-the-scenes family photos to Instagram, as her father prepares to be sworn in as the 47th President of the United States.

In a heartfelt post, Ivanka wrote she is ‘filled with gratitude’ as she reflected on special moments with her family from eight years ago, after they first arrived in Washington, D.C.

‘Witnessing my father become the 45th President of the United States, lighting Shabbat candles with Jared in the Lincoln Bedroom on Inauguration Day, watching Theodore crawl for the first time in the White House State Dining Room, and seeing Arabella sneak through the secret door of the Resolute Desk are memories I will cherish forever,’ Ivanka, who served as an adviser to her father in his first term, continued.

‘I look forward to watching my father take the oath of office again as the 47th President of the United States,’ she concluded the gushing post.

‘I am proud of his unwavering strength and resilience and am excited to celebrate this historic milestone alongside him once more.’

In the carousel of photos, Ivanka showed off photos of her family – including her walking off Air Force One, a baby Theodore learning to crawl, a family portrait with Jared and their young children as well as Arabella hiding in the Resolute Desk.

Ivanka won’t be resuming the same responsibilities as last time her father was in office, previously stating she wants to be his emotional support this time around.

‘I’m most looking forward to just being able to show up for him as a daughter and be there for him, to take his mind off things and like watch a movie with him or watch a sports game, to know that he can be with me and be himself, and just relax,’ she told The Skinny Confidential podcast earlier in the week.

Ivanka, who married businessman Jared Kushner in 2009 and shares three children – Arabella Rose, 13, Joseph Frederick, 11, and Theodore James, eight – with him, admitted working in the White House was ‘crazy.’

The mom-of-three added and she won’t have a formal position in her father’s second administration.

‘I went through years of craziness,’ she said of her first tenure in the White House.

However, Ivanka speaks to her father nearly every day and is likely to be an influence behind-the-scenes even without a formal title.

In the two-hour interview, Ivanka Trump discussed the massive changes in her life that took place when she joined the first Trump administration, her current self-care routine, and what she sees as her future role as a member of the Trump family.

‘I hate politics,’ she confessed.

Ivanka was not involved in her father’s 2024 presidential campaign. It was a stark contrast to the 2020 race, where she was a regular presence at his rallies.

She told podcast hosts Lauryn Bosstick and Michael Bosstick that her experience in the White House was a ‘very emotional time.’

‘You become a little bit calloused,’ she said.

‘It’s a very dark, negative. And some people love like the gladiator aspect of it,’ she explained.

The dedicated mom said said the main reason she’s not returning to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue is her children Arabella, Joseph And Theodore.

‘The main reason I am not going back to serve now is, I know the cost. And it’s a price that I’m not willing to make my kids bear,’ she said.

‘My primary goals were just to like, be the best freaking mom,’ she said.

‘Every time I had to miss something, I’m like, I will never let this happen again in the minute I leave the White House.’
