Ivanka Trump shares throwback photo of herself and mom Ivana on Thanksgiving

Ivanka Trump has already gotten an early start to her Thanksgiving celebrations, though it’s unclear where the first daughter will be spending the holiday.

The 38-year-old took to Instagram on Wednesday to share a throwback photo of herself helping her mother, Ivana Trump, baste a turkey in the Connecticut mansion her parents shared before their divorce in 1991.

‘Happiness is homemade! #ThanksgivingMemories,’ Ivanka captioned the image, which was taken when she was about 12 years old, a few years after her mother and father’s split.

Ivana, who was in her 40s when the picture was taken, is dressed to impress in a black top with sheer, billowy sleeves and a colorful patterned skirt.

Her blond hair is pulled back in a glamorous updo with her bangs framing her face. The mother-of-three topped off her look with a pair of statement earrings and rosy pink lipstick that matched her nail polish.

Ivanka, who’s not quite a teenager in the picture, is wearing a black velvet dress and flashing her braces as she smiles for the camera.

Though they’re not in the image, the picture appears to mark one of the first Thanksgivings she and her siblings Donald Jr. and Eric spent with their mom after Ivana and their father, Donald Trump, divorced.

The now-president and his mistress-turned-second wife Marla Maples, welcomed their first child, Tiffany Trump, in October 1993. The couple married that December and spent six years together before divorcing in 1999.

Ivanka’s parents purchased the six-acre property in Greenwich — where her throwback Thanksgiving photo was taken — in the early ’80s for $4 million, according to the Wall Street Journal.

When they divorced in 1991, Ivana kept the house and sold it to Robert Steinberg and his wife Suzanne for $15 million in 1998.

The Wall Street Journal reported that the couple has been trying to unload the property off and on for years, originally asking for $50 million in 2009 and then $54 million when it was relisted in 2014.

In June, the mansion was back on the market for $38.5 million — nearly 29 per cent less than its onetime asking price of $54 million.

It’s unclear where Ivanka and her husband, fellow White House senior adviser Jared Kushner, plan on spending Thanksgiving with their three children: Arabella, eight, Joseph, six, and Theodore, three.

On Tuesday evening, her father, stepmother Melania, and 13-year-old half-brother Barron arrived at their exclusive Mar-a-Lago estate in Palm Beach, Florida, where they will be celebrating the holiday.

Ivanka spent Thanksgiving with her father’s side of the family last year, and it’s possible that they will be eating turkey with the Kushners this time around.

After attending the White House turkey pardoning with her husband and children two years in a row, she was a no-show at this year’s event, which took place in the Rose Garden before Trump’s flight to Mar-a-Lago.

Tiffany, 26, was the only one of Trump’s five children who watched him pardon turkeys Butter and Bread on Tuesday.

It’s unclear if the Georgetown law student and her boyfriend Michael Boulos will be joining her father in Florida or her mother Marla, 55, in New York.

Meanwhile, Eric revealed on Wednesday that he is in Mar-a-Lago when he shared a photo of himself with his two-year-old son Luke on the property, writing: ‘Morning walk in PJ’s.’

He and his wife Lara also have a newborn daughter, Carolina, whom the welcomed in August.
