The Bahamas mansion once frequented by former First Lady Jackie Kennedy Onassis has hit the market for $5.5 million.

Minor Cay, which features five bedrooms, five bathrooms and a wraparound pool, was where Kennedy and her socialite sister Lee Radziwill spent winter weekends throughout the 1970s.

At the time, the home was owned by ketchup heir Jack Heinz, who invited the famous sisters and their children to unwind in the island paradise away from the persistent glare of the paparazzi.

Minor Cay is located in an exclusive gated community, and neighbors included Rainier III, Prince of Monaco; automobile heir Henry Ford II; and Greek shipping magnate Stavros Niarchos.

Heinz sold off the home sculptor John Safer, before it was given a complete makeover in 2017.

Today, the home still boasts a bunch of mega-rich neighbors – including actor Sean Connery, media tycoon Sir Tony O’Reilly, and members of the Bacardi rum family.

Minor Cay is listed by Christie’s International Real Estate, who describe the property as ‘a dreamy modernist villa with panoramic views out over the water’.

First built in the 1960s, Minor Cay is set on lush green grounds and overlooks a private golf course. The three story home boasts five bedrooms, five bathrooms and two kitchens, but its most striking feature is a large, wraparound pool. Two bedrooms on the bottom level of the home feature doors which allow direct access to the water. The downstairs bedrooms were where Jackie Kennedy and sister Lee Radziwill used to bunk down during the 1970s

Minor Cay was given a chic makeover in 2017 by famed interior designer Amanda Lindroth. While Jackie Kennedy Onassis maintained her primary residence in New York City, the former First Lady flew to the Bahamas on winter weekends with her children, Caroline and John Jr. The family were relentlessly pursued by paparazzi in the Big Apple, but were able to unwind at Minor Cay in relative privacy. Kennedy Onassis was married to shipping heir Aristotle Onassis until his death in 1975, but she continued to spend time at Minor Cay as a widow
