‘Give her a break, we’ve all been there!’ Jackie ‘O’ Henderson defends her friend Roxy Jacenko after the PR queen got tipsy and fell over while celebrating the Melbourne Cup

A worse-for-wear Roxy Jacenko took a tumble outside Mimi’s restaurant in Sydney’s Coogee on Tuesday after attending a boozy Melbourne Cup party.

And the publicist’s longtime friend Jackie ‘O’ Henderson came to her defence on Friday, insisting that people should ‘give her a break’.

Speaking on her KIIS FM breakfast program, the 45-year-old radio host explained that we’ve all ‘been there before’ after one too many drinks.

‘I feel for her. Like, she never gets like that, ever,’ Jackie said.

‘Give her a break, she had a good time at a Melbourne Cup lunch and some a**hole decided top film her. Who hasn’t been there before at one stage in their life?’

Jackie’s co-host Kyle Sandilands added that Roxy’s sky-high heels wouldn’t have helped the situation.

‘I blame the shoes, probably a wonky heel more than anything,’ he said.

Jackie agreed: ‘I have those shoes she was wearing; they are not easy to walk in.’

Roxy looked sensational on Melbourne Cup day in a fitted camouflage dress, which she paired with black stilettos and a baker boy-style hat.

But after leaving Mimi’s, the PR queen had to be propped up by a friend, and seemed wobbly on her feet as she made her way to a vehicle.

As she waited for her car, Roxy slipped to the ground, landing softly on her back.

With her arms in the air and clutching her handbag, the businesswoman flailed on the concrete as she attempted to get up.

She was then helped into a car by her friend.
