Jackie ‘O’ Henderson reveals how much money she was offered to go on The Bachelorette

Jackie ‘O’ Henderson says no amount of money in the world would have convinced her to go on The Bachelorette.

The perennially single 48-year-old radio queen has confirmed Channel 10 producers begged the mother-of-one to appear on the dating series, but she firmly turned it down as she didn’t want to be around a ‘bunch of gronks’.

‘It came through my manager and I said “absolutely not”. No way would I ever do something like that. It is great for your entertainment, but what about me,’ she said during The Kyle and Jackie O show on Wednesday.

When her co-host Kyle Sandilands pressed her on her proposed salary, Jackie said Ten executives were willing to pay her anything to she wanted, hinting at over $300K, the same amount Sophie Monk got paid.

‘They asked how much would it cost.’ Nothing, I wouldn’t do it. I would just not do it. Not the Bachelorette. They are just making TV in the end and you are just going to get gronks, get weirdos… I just don’t think it is for me,’ she explained.

Jackie ‘O’ Henderson, 48, (pictured) has denied rumours she’s set to appear on The Bachelorette, after Woman’s Day magazine reported she had signed up to the Channel 10 dating franchise in the hopes of finding Mr Right

Jackie mentioned she had spoken to Sophie about it before and the TV host suggested they didn’t cast anyone that was compatible with her.

‘There was really no one right for her. Remember Jarrod, the stage five clinger with the pot plant?’ she remarked.

It comes after Woman’s Day magazine reported on Monday Jackie had signed up to the franchise in the hopes of finding Mr Right.

The publication alleged Jackie had even enlisted her best friend Sophie to help her prepare for the show.

Jackie was however quick to deny the rumours on Tuesday’s Kyle And Jackie O Show, after her co-host Kyle Sandilands cheekily remarked: ‘Congratulations on your new TV gig.’

‘That’s all untrue Kyle. That’s bulls**t. No, I’m not doing that,’ the mother-of-one scoffed.

‘That’s great, because I wouldn’t have been happy about that,’ Kyle replied, before describing why The Bachelorette was beneath Jackie.

‘I put you up on a pedestal. You are a great woman that has achieved amazing things in your life, [you] raised a great daughter… And you’re an award-winning, wonderful friend.’

He went on to note that Jackie ‘finally has a decent body’ and is ‘rootable again’, following her recent 18kg weight loss.

Jackie has been single since the breakdown of her marriage to British photographer Lee Henderson in 2018.

The couple, who were married for 15 years, co-parent their daughter Kitty, 11.

Lee has since found love with jujitsu instructor Gabriella Motta.

Jackie previously choked back tears on The Jess Rowe Big Talk Show as she admitted the thing she missed most about her ‘old life’ was having dinner with someone each night.

‘I’d just love to sit at the dinner table with someone and have dinner. That’s what I yearn for and that’s the thing that I miss most about my old life,’ she told journalist Jessica Rowe.

She continued: ‘It’s a funny thing what we miss. It can be the littlest things, you know, and for me it’s having that family time at the dinner table; that used to be my favourite part of the day.

‘So I don’t have that now and I think I will get that back, but as I said I want to wait, you know, a little bit longer. And then maybe down the track I will fall in love. That would be nice.’

Jackie is fighting fit after losing 18 kilos and could well be ready to return to the dating scene.

She told Stellar magazine that the past few years were a challenge but she now feels ‘fitter, healthier and mentally stronger’.

‘I can’t believe how good I feel this year. I’ve had some sort of crazy breakthrough in my life. But I feel like I’ve kind of hit rock bottom to get to this point,’ she said.

Jackie explained her divorce was one of the lowest periods of her life.

‘Everything about who I usually am had been taken away. Now, it’s back,’ she said.

‘You ask anyone who’s going through that and, especially when you have children, it makes it even harder,’ she explained.

‘The guilt you feel and everything associated with that is very difficult to get through.’
