Jake Paul says Dana White ‘hates that I am exposing his business’ after Anderson Silva win

Jake Paul has continued his war of words with Dana White by claiming the UFC president has gone into ‘hiding’ following his win over Anderson Silva.

Paul faced the UFC icon in Arizona on Saturday and scored a final-round knockdown on his way to a unanimous decision victory.

The YouTuber-turned-boxer expects White to be disappointed that he has beaten another of the organisation’s former stars, having previously seen off Ben Askren and Tyron Woodley twice, as Paul believes he is ‘exposing’ the UFC.

Paul thinks Dana White has now gone into ‘hiding’ after he beat another former UFC star

‘Dana? Dana? Dana? Bro, you said I wouldn’t do this… And I did it!’ Paul said in his post-fight press conference after getting the better of Silva.

‘And with flying colours. But, you know, he’s in hiding. You know, he’s trying to do everything he can to stop my run, to sabotage my fights. He hates me. He hates what I’m doing. He hates that I am exposing his business.’

Paul has been heavily critical of White in the past for not paying fighters enough or providing them with long-term healthcare, and he has reiterated his desire to set up a fighters’ union to try and fix this issue.

‘We’re going to band together and create a United Fighters Association to help UFC fighters… All MMA fighters and boxers. To get more fighter pay and long-term healthcare,’ he added.

‘That’s a big, big undertaking that I’ve been wanting to do for the whole entire time of my career. I want to make a fighters’ union. So, man, Dana White can suck this d**k!’

Paul’s comments come after White told reporters back in August that increasing fighter pay was ‘never gonna happen’ while he is in charge of the UFC.

Responding to White’s remarks at the time, Paul wrote on Twitter: ‘No major sports organisation pays its athletes as poorly as Dana White & UFC.

‘They keep talking about selling out 21 events in a row but never talking about raising fighter pay, giving them healthcare & fair revenue split. 

‘If my boss told me I am never getting a raise I would quit and go somewhere that actually values me. Right?

‘But what if ur boss, who has made hundreds of millions from ur hard work told u he’s not increasing ur minimum pay and you’re not able to quit?’ [sic]

Paul then brought up pay again ahead of his fight with Silva, by claiming the Brazilian was getting one of his biggest paydays despite being a PPV star for a number of years with the UFC when he held the middleweight title.

‘I think this could end up being one of Anderson’s biggest paydays,’ he told DailyMail.com.

‘That’s the goal, to get everyone I fight paid and everyone on my undercard paid the most amount they’ve ever been paid.

‘It shouldn’t be that way, and there’s a lot of UFC guys, who should be getting paid way, way more for their fights, and it’s sad to see that they don’t. 

‘The fighter minimum pay is so low, even the people lower in the company are just getting taken advantage of, so it’s just a massive, massive problem.’
