James Bond star Naomie Harris has revealed she was ‘petrified’ and ‘felt the blood rush from her’ when a stalker who bombarded her with ‘highly sexual’ love letters turned up at her north London home.

The Oscar-nominated actress, 44, was on the phone to a friend when her voice dropped and she ‘whispered in a terrified tone that the man who had been stalking her was at the front door,’ Prosecutor Philip McGhee told a judge at Wood Green Crown Court.

Ovisyonairo Li, 37, turned up at her north London house on February 29 – after sending a deluge of heavily perfumed love letters on Valentine’s Day, reported the Evening Standard.

Mr McGhee added: ‘She is genuinely petrified about what he might do to her and doesn’t feel safe even when she comes home.’

When police raided the Canterbury home Li was staying in they found passports in different names, women’s clothing, a dossier on Harris, and letters from other famous women who had turned him down.

Li first tried to reach Ms Harris through her mother Carmen, when he booked Reiki sessions with her in the hope of meeting her famous daughter.

In a number of messages he revealed he regularly looked at the actress’ media appearances and wanted to meet her on November 11, 2019 – a date he ‘hoped would become their anniversary’.

In one sexually charged love letter Li promised to ‘present his soul’ to Ms Harris and insisted she was ‘the one’. He even input her address to his Sat Nav’s ‘home’ setting.

When Ms Harris realised Li was at her door ‘she was incredibly scared and shocked,’ said Mr McGhee. ‘She was absolutely petrified, she says she felt out of breath and felt the blood rush from her.’

The actress, who plays Miss Moneypenny in James Bond, has since changed the locks to her home, fitted a new security system and asks taxi drivers to wait until she has reached her front door before driving off.

Ms Harris has appeared in Hollywood films including Miami Vice, Mowgli and Pirates Of The Caribbean.

The first letter, an 11-page note, arrived on February 13 and more followed across the following week. Judge Noel Lucas QC said: ‘He frightens me.’

Ii, who changed his name by deed poll to Christian, has been diagnosed with Asperger’s Syndrome, the court heard.

He apologised to Ms Harris in a letter to the court, saying he was ‘ashamed of his actions’ and would not repeat them.

He admitted two stalking charges against Ms Harris and her mother and will be sentenced on Friday.
