British billionaire James Dyson is reportedly buying a luxury Singapore mansion – marketed for an eye-watering $33million – just weeks after the inventor snapped up the city-state’s most expensive penthouse.
The freehold property, which sprawls over 15,000 square feet of tropical land, boasts a waterfall, an infinity pool and a landscaped garden.
Located in an exclusive area of the city, the modern build backs on to Singapore’s Botanic Gardens – a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

In order for a foreigner to win government approval to purchase the home, they must have made ‘exceptional economic contributions in Singapore,’ according to the Straits Times.
Earlier this month, Dyson, 74, grabbed headlines when he bought a 21,000-square-foot ‘super penthouse’ for a reported $54million.
The biggest and most expensive penthouse in Singapore, it sits on the top three floors of a tower in the business district, and has a private garden, storage for 600 bottles of wine, and a round-the-clock dedicated butler service.
Dyson, a vocal Brexiteer, moved his household appliance company’s headquarters from Malmesbury, Wiltshire, to Singapore earlier this year.
Dyson Ltd, famous for its flagship vacuum products, plans to manufacture electric cars in the city-state as part of its eastward expansion to tap into Asian markets.

But the vehement Leaver sparked fury and was branded a hypocrite after relocating his company in a move perceived as deliberately insulating the business from post-Brexit uncertainty.
Dyson insisted that the decision was not taking in light of the 2016 Leave vote and such suggestions were ‘missing the point’.
He said: ‘Singapore has a comparatively high cost base, it also has great technology expertise meaning it is the right place to make a high quality, technology loaded, electric vehicle.’
Affluent and developed, the city-state has long attracted wealthy residents from around the world – a trend that has helped fuel a rise in property prices over the years.

The Wallich Residence, located at the top of the Guoco Tower, covers three floors, contains five bedrooms, and features a rooftop swimming pool and Jacuzzi room.
While photos show an interior decked out with marble floors, a walk-in wardrobe big enough to hang a chandelier in, and a grand piano – the listing says a team of specialist designers and architects stand ready to customise it however the buyer wishes.
The apartment will also grant Mr Dyson access to the facilities and services at the five-star Sofitel Singapore City Centre, which is located in the same building.
A Dyson spokesperson said: ‘We do not comment on the private affairs of the Dyson family’.
