James Franco and longtime girlfriend Izabel Pakzad share plenty of laughs during lunch date in NYC

James Franco previously confessed he had never been monogamous with any of his girlfriends until he met Izabel Pakzad.

Now in the fifth year of their romance, the couple appeared to be going strong when they were spotted while out on a lunch date at Via Carota in Greenwich Village on Friday.

Sitting at a choice table in the restaurant’s outdoor patio, they both broke out into laughter a number of times as enjoyed their various Italian dishes and drinks.

Franco, 44, decided to keep it casual in a white t-shirt and a black baseball cap over his dark hair.

He’s currently sporting a full beard and mustache, which he appears to keep groomed.

Sitting to the Oscar-nominated actor’s left, Pakzad was the picture of casual-cool in brown Capri pants, that came down to mid-calf, and a plunging black top.

It looks like the top may be a spaghetti-strap leotard that she partially covered up with her pants.

Known for having voluminous locks, the actress and model styled her tresses long and flowing nearly to her waistline with a part on the left.

After enjoying their time together, the couple made their way outside of the establishment, where Pakzad revealed she was wearing black leather boots, and had a stylish matching purse over her right shoulder.

She eventually made it to their parked white car, hopped into the passengers side of the vehicle and drove off.

The couple have reportedly been dating since November 2017, but have made a conscious effort to keep their romance out of the public eye.

Franco has also been keeping a low profile on the career front since being accused of sexually inappropriate behavior by five women, four of whom were his acting students, in an article published by The Los Angeles Times in January 2018. 

One of the ladies under his guidance as an acting student claimed to Good Morning America that Franco ‘abused his power by exploiting the non-celebrity women that he worked with under the guise of giving them opportunities.’

Franco has since reached settlement deals with at least two of them to close out their sexual misconduct lawsuits, according to People.

During an episode of SiriusXM’s The Jess Cagle Podcast, The Deuce star opened up about his prior sex addiction and how his struggles with the issue impacted his relationships.

‘I had girlfriends. I could never be faithful to anybody. I cheated on everyone before Isabel,’ the Spring Breakers star confessed, before adding, ‘I was completely blind to power dynamics or anything like that … I didn’t wanna hurt people.’

‘When I was a teenager, I was addicted to alcohol. I got into a lot of trouble, I got sober when I was 17,’ Franco explained. ‘Once I couldn’t use alcohol to fill that hole, it was like, “Oh, success, attention, this is great.” I got addicted to validation or success or whatever that is.’
