James Franco paranoid due to sexual misconduct allegations

James Franco has been accused of sexual misconduct by five women.

And the Disaster Artist actor has apparently not been taking the recent events well, as sources tell People: ‘This whole process has been very hard on him.’

The 39-year-old has managed to keep a low profile since allegations against him were revealed January 7, during the 75th Golden Globes.

Sources also said: ‘He’s in a really bad place, so bad that he changed his phone number.’

Although Franco is not in the best place, he did attend the Screen Actors Guild Awards on Sunday.

Another source told the publication, ‘His team wants him to continue making public appearances. He thinks he can save his image.’

‘His close friends are trying to be there for him but it’s been hard – he’s only talking to a select group of people. For now, he’s just hiding out.’

Through his attorney, James has denied all five women’s allegations, and the Freaks and Geeks actor also publicly denied the allegations while on Stephen Colbert’s talk show.

Franco told Stephen Colbert after the 2018 Golden Globes: ‘I completely support people coming out and being able to have a voice because they didn’t have a voice for so long. So, I don’t want to shut them down in any way.’

He also said during an appearance on Late Night With Seth Meyers: ‘There are people that need to be heard, I have my own side of this story, but I believe in these people that have been underrepresented getting their stories out enough that I will hold back things that I could say, just because I believe in it that much.’

‘So if I have to take a knock because I’m not going to try and actively refute things, then I will, because I believe in it that much.’

James also got backlash for wearing a Time’s Up pin at the Golden Globes, which caused Scarlett Johansson to call him out during a speech at the Los Angeles Women’s March on Saturday.

The actress had scathing words for the Spiderman actor: ‘I want my pin back!’

But just one day after, a high-spirited James attended the 24th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards at The Shrine Auditorium with girlfriend, Isabel Pakzad.

He also had the support of his younger brother Dave and sister-in-law Alison Brie by his side during the award show.
