‘It will be a massive moment!’ James Haskell admits he’s ‘terrified’ ahead of his first night looking after baby daughter Bodhi alone whilst wife Chloe Madeley enjoys a night out

He welcomed his first child with his wife Chloe Madeley back in August.

And James Haskell admitted that he’s ‘terrified’ ahead of his first night looking after their baby daughter Bodhi, 7 months, alone whilst his partner enjoys a night out.

The former rugby player, 37, said it would be ‘a massive moment’ as he joked that he couldn’t phone his wife for help and ‘give in to the enemy.’

Speaking on Thursday’s episode of Jeremy Vine, he explained: ‘I’ve looked after her, but it’s the first night just me and her on our own. It will be terrifying.

‘I don’t think I’ll be watching anything apart from her like, “Still breathing? Still breathing?’

James continued: ‘And Chloe will be out. It will a massive moment!’

‘I do all the night feeds and I take her in a morning, that’s fine, but when she isn’t in the house I can’t go, “Babe, what’s happening here?’

Host Jeremy exclaimed: ‘You can’t call Chloe!’

‘I can’t. I would never give in to the enemy,’ James replied.

But, he later added: ‘If I am away and I’m DJing and having fun, Chloe will call me up the remind me what I’m missing and how bad it is at home and I should feel guilty about it.’

It comes after Chloe revealed that she relies on her parents Richard and Judy on ‘bad days’ as a new mum to her baby daughter Bodhi.

The personal trainer – who showed off her abs in new snaps on Wednesday – has now admitted she felt ‘quite depressed’ in her third trimester.

Chloe explained in a new podcast that she struggled with living in the Midlands while her parents were in London during her pregnancy but that now they have moved down south things are easier.

Speaking on the Midwife Pip podcast Chloe said of her final stages of pregnancy: ‘I felt very isolated, very alone. I was quite depressed and quite freaked out.

‘I also don’t think it helped at the time that James and I were still living in the Midlands and I was away from all my friends and family. Whereas now if I have a bad day… I just get in the car and go to my parents.’

Chloe described how her parents now help her lots, saying she is able to ‘catch my breath’.

She explained: ‘Just being in my family home with my mum and dad, who are also obsessed with Bodhi, I just catch my breath again and come back down to earth. I kind of reconnect with everything I love about my life.’
