Again taking to Instagram, Jamie shared a video of the hunk, 24, feeding him grapes to his hospital bed – leaving the blonde in stitches.

Clearly feeling more festive after the visit, Jamie captioned the clip: ‘My absolute homie @chrishughesofficial surprised me with grapes because it’s Christmas Eve. BIG LOVE because of that ❤️’

The following day, Jamie confirmed the surgery had gone well – and maintained his usually witty sense of humour by dismissing his pain, and instead joking about the socks he had to wear after the operation.

Before adding on Twitter: ‘Surgery went well and now I’m out. Honestly the @NHSEngland are simply wonderful. Merry Christmas everyone.’
