Jamie Oliver has revealed that he and wife Jools decided to renew their wedding vows to show their children that they’re stronger than ever.
Speaking for the first time about the surprise nuptials, the chef, 47, explained that he and Jools originally planned to renew their vows on their 20th Anniversary, before Covid put a stop to their plans.
He added that with their children leaving school and heading off to university, he wanted to assure them that their relationship was ‘still tight.’
‘I wanted to do it on the 20 year anniversary, Covid put an end to that so I thought with the kids leaving school and going to university, I’ve got two in Leeds at uni, I thought it was a nice moment to let them know that their parents are tight we love them,’ Jamie on Thursday’s BBC Breakfast.
‘I know it sounds like maybe some people are into it and some not but I have to say the vows second time around are much better.
