Jane Fonda reveals she’s a fan of porn

Jane Fonda admitted earlier this year that she’s ‘closed up shop down there.’

But the 80-year-old Hollywood veteran has admitted that she still enjoys reading erotic fiction.

During an interview with the High Heels and Hangovers podcast, Jane spoke about popular pornographic novel Fifty Shades Of Grey, which plays a central role in her new movie Book Club.

‘I’ve read really good pornography. I lived in France for years and I read it when it first came out because I wanted to see what all the fuss was about,’ she said of the novel.

‘[Fifty Shades] is not a very good book but I’m glad it was written and I think it titillated and ‘juicified’ a lot of women in the United States. That’s a good thing.’

Jane stars in the new comedy Book Club, which sees four women revitalise their dwindling sex lives after reading the raunchy tome.

It comes after two-time Oscar-winner Jane recently claimed intimacy improves for women as they get older.

‘For women it gets better because we understand out bodies more,’ the highly acclaimed actress told News Corp in August.

Jane, who has had three high-profile marriages including to billionaire Ted Turner, said it all came down to women knowing what they want and having the confidence to ask for it as they get older.

‘We know what we need and we know what we like and we’re less afraid to ask for it,’ she added.

The Klute actress, who split with Los Angeles record producer Richard Perry last year, went on to say that men also learn to take things ‘slower’ in their later years.

Jane, however, didn’t fail to talk about the ageing process, saying that mature lovers should think about the physical space they are in, adding that ‘lighting’ is important.

In addition to Ted Turner, Jane was also married to French film director Rodger Vadim from 1965 to 1973, and politician Tom Hayden from 1973 to 1990.
