A Japanese man was horrified to discover his sex toy was being used as a vase on an altar containing his grandmother’s ashes.
Twitter user @koniy0805 noticed the stripey bright red device with fresh flowers poking out the top while visiting his parents to pay respect to his grandmother who passed last year.
The grandson later found out that his grandfather had taken a pair of pliers and torn a hole in the top of the device to fit the flowers in.

@koniy0805 said the Tenga, Japan’s most popular masturbatory aid, was a humorous leaving gift from his work colleagues.
The grandson joked on Twitter: ‘Of course, if Tengas came with a large opening at the tip, they would be extremely messy to use for their original purpose.’
Coincidentally, company Tenga previously offered a Tenga vase as a promotional tie-in on social media.

Twitter users suggested the grandfather may have read the word ‘Tenga’ printed on the side, and assumed it was just the Japanese word tenga meaning ‘grace’ or ‘elegance’.
@koniy0805 revealed he has since gotten rid of the makeshift vase – but was too embarrassed to tell his grandfather what it really was.
