White House counselor Jared Kushner was spotted coming out of a closed-door hearing of the Senate Intelligence Committee on Thursday, marking the second time he’s appeared before that panel.
Kushner’s appearance on Capitol Hill was a surprise.
Neither the hearing nor his attendance was not announced ahead of time and there was no hearing for Thursday listed on the committee’s schedule.

But a CNN cameraman caught President Donald Trump’s son-in-law coming out of the panel’s hearing room after speaking to senators about the Russia investigation.
Kushner left the room shortly before noon and did not answer questions, Buzzfeed reported. The hearing began at around 9:30 a.m.
Both senators and staff were present.
Kushner first appeared before the committee in 2017 when he testified about any contacts with Russia during and after the 2016 election. He said there was no collusion.
His appearance before the committee comes less than a week after special counsel Robert Mueller cleared Trump and his campaign officials of any collusion with Russia.

Kushner was present at the infamous June 2016 Trump Tower meeting with Donald Trump Jr. and then-Trump campaign manager Paul Manafort for a sitdown with a Russian lawyer who claimed to have dirt on Hillary Clinton.
