On Thursday, Bezos, 55, was seen aboard designer von Furstenberg and her media tycoon Diller’s $70 million yacht indulging in a romantic moment, before they disembarked the boat for what appeared to be a double dinner date with two of their fellow guests.

The duo were not totally lost in the throes of passion however; both were seen checking their phones with one hand, while keeping the other arm wrapped around their partner.

Jeff and Lauren appear to have been waiting for some friends, however they made full use of the free time in seize a few private minutes of romance, before heading out on what appeared to be a double dinner date.

Having been joined by two of their fellow yacht passengers, the couples were seen strolling through the city and into a local restaurant not long after leaving the boat.

No doubt Lauren and Jeff were eager to enjoy a bit of relaxation after what has been an incredibly busy summer for the two of them; the past few months have not only been filled with plenty of travel, yacht stays, and parties, but also a fair few controversies – not least the mogul’s very public divorce from his ex-wife Mackenzie, who walked away from their marriage with a hefty settlement that included $38 billion worth of Amazon stock.

That came just seven months after the illicit affair between Lauren and Jeff, who were both married when they began their romance, was exposed in the National Enquirer.

Then, earlier this month, Amazon was faced with a bitter public controversy after a report revealed that hundreds of schoolchildren have been drafted in to make Amazon’s Echo Dot and Kindle devices illegally in China.

Investigators at Amazon supplier Foxconn’s factory found children were working gruelling night-shifts in order to meet demands in the city of Hengyang in Hunan Province.

Teenagers are encouraged by local schools and colleges to become ‘interns’ at the factory, where their teachers are paid to accompany them to work.

More than 1,000 youngsters stand for hours on end throughout the night doing repetitive work which requires little technical training, China Labor Watch found.

Days before the news was revealed, Jeff also went through a financial upheaval when he lost a staggering $3.4 billion in just one day as a result of the US stock market taking its biggest plunge of the year thus far, a plummet that saw the 500 wealthiest people on Earth lose a collective $117 billion.

Amazon mogul Jeff led the back – although the enormous loss did not see him lose his title as the world’s richest man, thanks to his remaining net worth of $110 billion.

Which may be why the mogul looked so relaxed as he and Lauren strolled through Venice hand-in-hand, seemingly paying no mind to the recent controversies, having no doubt just enjoyed an afternoon of luxurious lounging aboard Barry’s 305ft yacht EOS.

The boat, which Barry and Diane have spent much of their summer on this year, boasts all manner of lavish amenity, and can house an impressive 16 guests and 21 staff members at any one time.

However, EOS is certainly not the first luxury boat that Lauren and Jeff have been invited to enjoy this summer – quite the opposite in fact.

Just a few weeks ago, the pair were hosted as guests of billionaire David Geffen aboard his $200 million yacht, enjoying a tour of some of Europe’s most exotic locales alongside the music producer and a host of other high-profile guests, including the likes of model Karlie Kloss, Joshua Kushner, and music producer Scooter Braun.

During the trip, the loved-up pair traveled to Mallorca, Saint-Tropez, and Portofino, before traveling back to the US, where Jeff was then seen in Miami at a private dinner hosted at the Seaspice Brasserie & Lounge.

The Amazon founder arrived to the waterfront eatery with two 90-foot-long superyachts, and then enjoyed a private dinner for 17 guests in the restaurant’s grand dining room, according to the Miami Herald.

However their return to the US appears to have been short-lived, and the couple is back in Europe just two weeks later to enjoy the company of Barry and Diane, whom Jeff is understood to have been friends with for many years.
