Bezos and Sanchez seem to have a long-standing friendship with Wintour. The trio was seen grabbing lunch together in the West Village in 2020. Bezos also attended her coveted annual ball, The Met Gala, in 2019.

It may well be that the Vogue editrix chose to host the intimate party after it was revealed that multiple brands had chosen to cancel their shows at London Fashion Week in the wake of Queen Elizabeth II’s passing.
