Channing Tatum shared a heartbreaking tribute on Instagram Thursday to a childhood friend who suddenly and inexplicably died this week.
Now, one day later, Tatum’s estranged wife Jenna Dewan has reached out to her ex in his time of need.
‘RIP Corey,’ Dewan wrote in response to Tatum’s Instagram post. ‘All the love in the world to his family right now.’

The 38-year old actor shared his loss to his 17.2 million followers in an Instagram album that included a photo of himself and his friend Corey Vaughn as children on a football field.
‘My sister Paige posted something recently I wanted to build on as well. My very first best friend Corey Vaughn left this world for the next Tuesday the 21st,’ he began. ‘Man there’s so much to say. I’ll never forget his crazy a** and how he stuck up for and protected me when i first moved to Mississippi.’
‘He’d a fought anybody. All the laughs and trouble we go in. I’ll never be able to see that smile of his again in this life. And it just made me need to remind everybody don’t put off anything. Seeing a friend, or even calling or texting,’ the film star noted.
‘You never know what’s next. Corey would have want us to laugh and raise hell in his wake and have as much joy as anyone can make. He sure did. And I’ll forever miss ya man. Love ya my brother,’ he closed touchingly.

The album was captioned: ‘Rip Corey I’ll never forget your crazy a**. I love you with all my heart. All my prayers to your beautiful family.’
Born in the northern Alabama town of Cullman, Channing was a mere six years old when he relocated with his parents and sister to Jackson County, Mississippi.
However, Channing and his family switched states again while he was growing up, with the result his adolescence was largely whiled away in Florida.

Tatum and Dewan are currently in the middle of a much-publicized breakup.
The former couple were married in Malibu in 2009, and four years later, she gave birth to their daughter Everly in London.
They announced amicably and jointly this April that they were separating – a move she told Women’s Health was ‘a positive thing.’
