Jenna Jameson, 47, believes ‘hormones are playing a huge part’ in her struggle to lose weight again on keto… after gaining back 20 pounds

Former adult film actress Jenna Jameson gained back 20 pounds when she halted her keto diet plan in late 2019 

And the 47-year-old took to her Instagram page on Sunday to reveal that although she has returned to the popular diet program, she is struggling to maintain the weight loss.  

‘Long awaited but quite anti climatic Keto update,’ began Jameson. ‘I am losing slowly slowly. I’m now 14 lbs down but I’ve been fluctuating.’

‘I think hormones are playing a huge part,’ revealed Jameson.

She revealed that she is ‘still breastfeeding’ her two-year-old daughter Batel and that she ‘recently got [her] period back after 3 years.’ 

‘So I feel up and down, hot flashes galore and in need of all things salty. Moral of the story, give yourself grace, it’s a marathon not a sprint! Love you guys,’ concluded Jameson, who shared a portray of herself posted up against a white wall.

Donning a black spaghetti strap maxi-dress, the blonde bombshell appeared confident in her curves as she posed for the camera.

The mother of three began her keto journey in April of 2018, following the birth of her youngest child Batel, whom she shares with boyfriend Lior Bitton.

Two months after starting the plan, Jameson dropped an impressive 30 pounds. 

As part of her journey, she would share ‘Motivation Monday’ posts that would showcase her progress to her Instagram following. 

‘I cut out bread, pasta, potatoes, rice, all refined sugar, no snacks like chips and crackers. I rarely ate out. I made sure I only put WHOLE foods in my body,’ wrote Jameson of her initial 30 pound weight loss.

From then on she would continue to lose weight, as well as work on ‘toning up’ her physique in the gym.

In December, Jameson was ashamed to say that she had halted Keto for a few months and just could not seem to find the motivation to get back into the swing of things.

‘The weight came back fast and furious,’ wrote Jenna who admitted that she weighed 153 pounds in January 3 of this year.

‘I know a lot of people are quitting keto because it’s hard to maintain and after a year and a half I concur.’

She even debated whether or not she would go back on keto ‘full force’ or just stick to ‘calorie count.’

But, like many people on New Years Day, Jenna declared she would restart her keto journey and incorporate healthy increments of intermittent fasting into her regimen.
