Ortega will be taking to the SNL stage on Saturday night, marking yet another major milestone for the young actress as her career continues to skyrocket.

Speaking to Entertainment Tonight on the red carpet of the SAG Awards, the You star was asked if she was nervous about hosting the iconic show.

‘One hundred percent,’ said Ortega. ‘It’s so funny because everyone is prepping me for it and they’re like, ‘yeah, any of our clients who have worked for SNL has said that it’s the most stressful week of their life.’

Ortega went on to say that her team told her that other hosts have ‘called crying’ and said, ‘Oh my God I don’t know what to do, I don’t know if I’m funny enough, I don’t know if I’m this enough…’

Ending on a positive note, the superstar added: ‘So, I feel like I’ve only heard scary things. I think that when I get there it will be delightful and fun and wonderful.’

The 1975 will be joining Ortega as the musical guest on Saturday, where she might be bringing some of her signature Wednesday Addams attitude to the skits.

In a recent interview on the podcast Armchair Expert, Jenna opened up about some of the difficulties she experienced while filming the first season of her Netflix megahit.

Ortega admitted that she was not always happy with the script, and at times, let the frustration get the best of her.

‘There were times on that set where I even became unprofessional, in a sense, where I just started changing lines,’ she told host Dax Shepard.

The Kids’ Choice Award winner said she was very protective of her character, and explained how she butted heads with the script supervisor and writing team, especially wen it came to her wardrobe and iconic dance.

‘There was a line about this dress that she has to wear for a school dance, and she says, “Oh, my God, I love it! I can’t believe I said that. I literally hate myself.” And I had to go, “No, there’s no way.”’

The Disney alum also put her foot down about the circumstances leading up to her now viral moves: ‘Initially, it was supposed to be a flash mob, and she was supposed to start dancing, and everyone was supposed to pick up on it and start dancing with her. And that, I vetoed because why would she be OK with that?’
