Oscar winner Jennifer Connelly made an incredibly rare public appearance with her eldest son Kai Dugan at the world premiere of Top Gun: Maverick in San Diego on Wednesday.
The 51-year-old former child star welcomed 24-year-old Kai during her romance with photographer David Dugan two years before meeting her husband Paul Bettany on the set of A Beautiful Mind.
Jennifer, Kai, and the Emmy-nominated Englishman – turning 51 on May 27 – arrived together on the famed USS Midway aircraft carrier.

Jennifer was shocked when the 59-year-old Oscar nominee changed their tarmac scene into a flying scene aboard a North American P-51 Mustang where they did ‘some gentle rolls.’
‘But it was really the most extraordinary experience. He’s an incredible pilot and it was pretty magical getting to do that,’ Connelly told ET on Tuesday.
‘It was really fun and, again, just not something that comes up in my daily life, riding a [plane or a] motorcycle with Tom Cruise.’
