Jennifer Hawkins almost gets swept away at Melbourne Cup

It may the race that stops the nation but on Melbourne Cup day, it’s the fashion on the field that really turns heads.

Leading the celebrity pack on Tuesday was the ever-stylish Jennifer Hawkins who never puts a foot wrong when it comes to glamming it up for the races.

The former Miss Universe stepped out in a black-and-blush pink number designed by Alex Perry, but was almost blown away by Melbourne’s adverse weather.

Jennifer’s stunning gown featured a pink tulle skirt as the main attraction, but windy conditions proved difficult as the star struggled not to fall victim to the weather.

The star attempted to keep a handle on the black blazer slung casually over her shoulders, while her flowing skirt was at at the mercy of what appeared to be a strong breeze.

Not letting the weather get her down, Jennifer flashed a smile as she held it together and flaunted the stylish ensemble.

Accessorising the look, the model kept to the colour scheme and opted for a black headband with floral detailing and matched it with black heels featuring bow-tie straps.
