Jennifer Lopez celebrated the 14th birthday of her twins Max and Emme on Tuesday with a sentimental fan video sharing photos of her with her children.

Quotes about parenthood from Lopez, 52 – who is mother to the twins with ex-husband Marc Anthony, 53 – were used throughout the clip, which followed the twins’ journey through a montage of photos set to the slow ballad Slow Down by Nichole Nordeman.

‘The kids just gave me a new direction,’ the Jenny from the Block singer is heard saying in the clip. ‘Everyday, they change everything. It just made me realize what was real and what wasn’t real. 

‘The love you feel for them … it’s so pure and unconditional that it made me reexamine everything in my life. They just changed everything.’

Lopez penned a happy message as she celebrated the milestone, as she said in the caption, ‘So this is 14!!!! My babies, my sunshine, my loves. Happiest of birthdays to my two coconuts #MaxAndLulu.

‘You have taught me the true meaning of life and have changed me forever in the most amazing way…I am so grateful for you both!!!’

The Hustlers star said she only hopes she ‘can be half of the blessing’ the twins have been in her life. The Marry Me actress noted the unique date Tuesday in commemorating the big day.

‘They’re amazing, first of all,’ Lopez said. ‘And they’re just now, they’re adults. They’re like little adults and they have their own lives and they have all their own ideas about the world already and they love to kind of like, show you that they know things.’

The Waiting for Tonight artist explained the meaning behind her coconuts nickname she’s given them.

‘I like to think that they like it,’ she said. ‘It’s cute I call them coconuts because they obviously are twins, there are two of them, and when they were in the crib when they were very very little and their hair looks like coconut hair so I used to call them coconuts. And it stuck. It just stuck.’
