McConnell denied the attack in St Helens, Merseyside, after suspecting Steph of a lesbian affair and fling with a fireman.

He narrowly avoided jail, as the judge slammed him for showing ‘no remorse’, despite attacking Steph while she held their baby son Caben-Albi in her arms.

Judge Wendy Lloyd added: ‘I believe his judgement was totally clouded by drugs and alcohol.’

Ex On The Beach star McConnell has been accused of faking a new relationship to make Steph jealous.

He posted a loved up selfie with the caption ‘so happy’ with love hearts as the mystery woman kissed him on the cheek.

But it later emerged the brunette in the picture Demi Wilson doesn’t know him and claimed the Dubliner asked her for a photo.
