Jessica Alba reveals why she won’t post thirst traps – as she steps out in business chic look in NYC

Jessica Alba was a vision of smart and sophisticated style as she stepped out in New York City on Tuesday.

The Honest Company founder, 43, worked a chic all-burgundy look while out in the SoHo neighborhood of the city.

She donned a smart blazer over a maroon button down dress with a center split that flashed some leg.

Matching heels and a quilted clutch polished off the sleek, boardroom-ready look.

Eyes were fashionably shaded behind cat eyed frames while flashy earrings added a glam touch to the look.

Her hair was beautifully done into flowing ringlets that cascaded down her chest and were classically parted at the center.

She also worked a manicure done up in a deep shade of plum.

On top of her acting career, Alba has recently teamed up with Instagram to help roll out their new Teen Accounts feature.

‘Teen Accounts will limit who can contact teens and the content they see, and help ensure their time is well spent,’ according to Meta.

While promoting the new feature with People, Jessica revealed how she tries to set an example to her own teenage daughters with her own Instagram use.

This means fans won’t be seeing any thirst traps on her Instagram account.

‘I do believe, more than telling your kids what to do, is that leading by example is important,’ she told the site.  ‘And nothing against thirst traps, but I’m not going to post a bunch of thirst traps as a mother of two girls and a boy, you know what I mean?’

‘I think it’s important to try and set as good of an example as possible and to have a variety [of things to post]. It doesn’t only need to be one thing,’ she added.

‘And I think, for me, it’s also just reflective of who I am. I’m not a one-dimensional person, and [it’s about] being able to show that.’

Jessica shares three children with her husband Cash Warren –  daughters Honor, 16, Haven, 13, and son Hayes, six.

As of now, Jessica’s eldest daughter Honor is the only one of her children using social media.

‘Honor, I think she was about 12 or 13 when she was wanting to get on [social media], and I said [she could] if we shared an account, it needed to be private and I wanted to be able to monitor who she was following,’ Jessica told People.

The actress revealed she has gone into her daughter’s account to unfollow pages that ‘don’t feel healthy or good’ for Honor.

‘I’ll unfollow them, and I’ll follow, for example, more body positive influencers and funny, cute animals and things like that, just so her algorithm isn’t [bad],’ she explained.

Jessica said she’s assisting in launching the new Teen Accounts feature as ‘online and digital safety is first and foremost for me when it comes to being a parent.’
