Jessica Biel wows at 2018 Makers Conference in Los Angeles

She put on a gripping performance as the leading lady in The Sinner when her murderous character ruthlessly stabbed a man on the beach seven times.

But Jessica Biel, 35, showed off her bubbly personality when she spoke at the 2018 MAKERS Conference at The Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel, in Los Angeles on Tuesday.

Still fresh from her Golden Globe win, Justin Timberlake’s wife looked triumphant when she flashed her killed smile in front of an eager audience.

Recently, the starlet triumphantly grasped hold of a Golden Globe for her harrowing characterisation of the leading lady in the heart-stopping series The Sinner.

She raised the trophy for the Golden Globe Award for Best Actress – Miniseries or Television Film.

The actress had viewers hooked from the opening sequence where her character, a mother and wife, stabs a shirtless hunk on the beach seven times in a vicious attack.

At first, Jessica’s character Cora claims she doesn’t know what possessed her to violently murder the stranger but it soon becomes clear she has a dark past.

A dedicated detective devotes himself to the case and he begins to help the beauty unravel the secrets in the depth of her mind.

The actress divulged she hoped people at home would resonate with Cora’s inner struggle with her past because everyone has something they would like to change.

Jessica explained to USA Today: ‘The thing about Cora that I hope a lot of people relate to is that everybody struggles with things in their past or things about them that they’d like to change. At times, we all put on a mask to present a way you are to the world that maybe isn’t 100% true.’

The award winner didn’t rule out a second series for the nine-part series in an interview with Entertainment Weekly in December 2017.

She said:’It’s a really good question. We are really hoping to hear soon if we get to come back or not.

‘Initially, the show was genuinely conceived as a limited series so it was a surprise to us as well that, with the amazing viewership and the incredible journey that this show has taken, it was even a possibility to come back.

‘But now that it is a possibility, we are really diving deeply with our creative team, our writers’ room. We’re hoping to set it up and see if we can come up with some amazing and interesting stories. If we get to come back, we’re starting fresh again. I will definitely be involved in some way!’

Jessica was flying solo at the event without the charming company of her hunky husband Justin and their two-year-old son Silas.

The couple, who were engaged in December 2011, tied the knot in Fasano, Italy in October 2012 and they have been blissfully happy ever since.
