A woman has been praised for not worrying about being judged as she enjoyed a lengthy selfie-session on a busy subway.
A video posted of commuter Jessica George, from New York, went viral over the weekend, racking up almost six million views and 200,000 likes and retweets.
Taking to his Twitter account, fellow commuter Ben Yahr shared the short clip, which showed Jessica arranging her cell phone on an empty seat, before standing in front of it and striking a number of poses, as passengers around her looked on in surprise.
‘This woman giving it ALL to the selfie cam on the train is SENDING ME’, Ben wrote alongside the popular video.

The clip was posted on Twitter by fellow commuter Ben Yahr, who filmed Jessica standing her cell phone up on a seat and then posing in front of the it
After posting the video, the identity of the snap-happy commuter was revealed to be Jessica, who happily posted the results of her shoot online, overjoyed by the response.
The video saw followers praising Jessica’s care-free attitude, as one person wrote: ‘To have the confidence to do this in front of others is powerful. I could never.’
Another asked: ‘Is this what it’s like to NOT have social anxiety?’, while one added: ‘I can’t even watch the complete video! The secondhand embarrassment is too much’.
Elsewhere one added: ‘I was just like omg I can’t even watch the whole thing. I’d die for that confidence!’

One admitted: ‘Lol, I’m old, i feel awkward & embarrassed taking any selfies even by myself in my own house.’
But one argued: ‘I feel weird that I don’t read this as confidence when so many others do. Trying to get just the right angle for a selfie doesn’t scream confidence to me.’
And elsewhere someone claimed that the setting was ideal for a photo shoot.
One follower wrote: ‘People don’t realize how ideal subway car lighting is.’
