Jessica Marais checks into a Sydney mental health facility

Jessica Marais has checked into a private mental health facility in Sydney to focus on ‘a number of urgent health issues,’ it has been reported.

The Sunday Telegraph claims The Wrong Girl star, 33, is seeking treatment at Bronte’s The Sydney Clinic and has been there for two weeks.

It comes after Jessica pulled out of Sunday’s Logies, ‘due to her health.’

The Sunday Telegraph claims while in treatment, the blonde attends daily counselling sessions, while nurses and psychiatrists and psychologists are at hand at the facility.

The publication claims a source said that the mother-of-one is doing a detox and inner health program, with inpatient programs averaging $25,000 for a month.

Jessica reportedly is making ‘good progress’ with her treatment and has been allowed to leave the facility for runs and a yoga session.

‘It’s nothing to be ashamed of. And the more we talk about it as a community, the more we can remove the stigma.’

Jessica first revealed her mental health struggle in an interview with The Australian Women’s Weekly in 2014.

‘There’s a history of bipolar in my family and I was diagnosed, at one point, with bipolar,’ she said at the time.

‘I have developed ways to talk myself down from any ledges I find myself on.

‘There’s probably one day a month when I am an absolute mess.’
