Australian pop singer Jessica Mauboy rose to fame in 2006 on the fourth season of Australian Idol.

And on Tuesday, Jessica admitted her father wasn’t very impressed by her collaboration with Snoop Dogg in 2010 for pop hit Get ‘Em Girls.

Appearing on Andrew Denton’s Interview, the 30-year-old said her dad ‘wasn’t really impressed’ after watching her music video with the rapper.

‘He was like “What are you wearing? Why is it so tight? Who is that?”‘ she laughed.

Jessica went on to say her father had ‘no idea’ who Snoop Dogg was and was more worried about her tight clothing in the clip.

The Pop A Bottle hitmaker admitted she was ‘s**t scared’ when she found out about her collaboration with the American rapper.

She told Andrew that she wished her sisters were there with her during her collaboration with Snoop Dogg.

‘They were big fans who listened to his music, they should have been there with me, because they knew everything… They knew every song, every lyric… I probably only knew one song!’ she said.

Jessica has since collaborated with many international stars, including Flo Rida, Ludacris, Jay Sean and Pitbull.
